Sam Anderson Named SCAC Men’s Swimmer of the Week

Southwestern University's Sam Anderson, a freshman from Broomfield, Colorado, was selected as the SCAC Men's Swimmer of the Week for performances during the meets swam Monday, October 21 to Sunday, October 27.

In Southwestern's victory over Austin on Friday, Anderson posted first-place finishes in the 100 free (48.09) and aided in the Pirates first-place win in the 200 free relay with a 21.7 split, the freshman also placed second in the 50 free (22.28).

In Saturday's dual against Oklahoma Christian, Anderson won the 200 breaststroke (2:12.98) as well as aiding in the Pirates victory in the 400 free relay with a split of 47.66. Anderson also placed third in the 100 breaststroke (1:01.15) and third in the 200 medley relay with a split of 27.5 in the breaststroke.
