Coming off its first NCAA Tournament appearance, the Southwestern University Pirates men's soccer team was voted fourth in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) preseason coaches' poll.
The Pirates received 75 votes, trailing Trinity University (99), Colorado College (88), and Texas Lutheran University (78). Last season, Southwestern finished 12-6-3 in Head Coach Dustin Norman's first year running the program, advancing to the SCAC championship match, losing in an overtime penalty shootout.
Southwestern will open its season on Friday, August 30 at 8:00 p.m. against the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in a rematch of last year's NCAA first round match in which the Crusaders won 2-0. To read the full SCAC Preseason Poll press release, click here.
