GEORGETOWN, Texas – Just four minutes into the contest the Pirates seized control on Carlos Huntley-Jimenez's goal as the Pirates defeated Schreiner in home SCAC action Sunday.

Martin Vila ran the ball down and centered it to Alex Newell who sent it into the back of the net to give the Pirates a 2-0 lead heading into halftime and that is how the game would end.

Southwestern (8-9, 7-6) returns to SCAC action on Friday in Seguin to close conference play against Texas Lutheran.
