The Southwestern University PIrates men's golf team finished the season ranked No. 12 in the nation in the final Golf Coaches Association of America poll of the season, released earlier today.
Southwestern received 245 points, moving up from the No. 16 spot in the previous poll. The Pirates ended the season with a victory in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Preview at the Vaaler Creek Golf Club on March 3.
The Pirates also had a fifth-place finish at the American Southwest Conference (ASC) Preview, placed eighth at the Golfweek Fall Invitational, were the runner-up at the Rhodes Collegiate Tunica National, and finished fourth at the John Bohmann Invitational.
Southwestern also ranked No. 12 in the GolfStat and fourth in the region with an average score of 291.69 through 13 rounds, finishing plus-5.54 versus par.
All-American senior Cade Osgood wrapped up his collegiate career ranked No. 6 in the nation and second in the region, finishing with an average score of 71.62 through 13 rounds for a plus-0.08 versus par.
