Men's Golf Ends Day 1 of John Bohmann Memorial Invitational in Fifth

SEGUIN, Texas — The Southwestern University Pirates men's golf team ended Day 1 of the John Bohmann Memorial Invitational in fifth place in the 10-team invitational, finishing four over par at 288. 

Senior John Kellum paced the Pirates at two under, scoring a 69 to end the first day tied for fifth. Sophomore Colin O'Hern followed, finishing tied for 16th at one over par with a 72. Austin Kelley and Thomas Kuznar, members of the Pirates' second team, finished tied with Cade Osgood at 19 with a 73. 

McMurry University sits atop the leaderboard at five under, shooting 279. Texas Lutheran University, Dallas, and LeTourneau University followed. Trinity University's Holden Wisener is the individual leader at five under with a 66. 

Christian Rodriguez and Zane Warren each shot 74 to round things out for the Pirates.
