Gammill named SCAC Men's Golfer of the Week

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - One day after winning the West Region Invitational on his home course, junior Tyler Gammill has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for competitions played through Tuesday, April 4th.

Gammill took top honors at the West Region Invitational, leading the Pirates to a second place team finish in the event.

Gammill tied the tournament's lowest round on Tuesday with a 70 (-2). He also posted scores of 73 and 74 through the first 36 holes.

This marks his first individual win of the season and his lowest 54-hole score of the year. The Pirates will compete next in the 2017 SCAC Championship in Blanco, Texas April 24-25.
