Daryl Jones is in his seventh season coaching defensive backs for the Southwestern University football team. 

In 2017, Jones led two of the best cornerbacks in the nation in All-American Nik Kelly and first-team All-ASC selection Dee Jay Johnson. Both players were four-time all-conference selections. 

Prior to Southwestern, Jones spent seven years coaching high school football throughout Texas. 

In college, Jones was a two-time team captain at Howard Payne University and was named Most Inspirational Player in 2006. 

Jones is a behavior specialist at Del Valle Middle School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in 2007 from Howard Payne and received a master’s degree from Concordia University–Irvine.
