Chris Cisi joined the Pirates football staff as linebackers coach in 2018. Previously, Cisi was a linebackers coach at California Lutheran University and defensive coordinator/linebackers coach at Westlake High School in Westlake Village, California. 

Cisi played middle linebacker from 2009 to 2013 at Texas Christian University,  where he received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. In his collegiate playing career, Cisi was a three-time Mountain West champion, two-time MVP Leadership Award recipient, and second-team Academic All-Big 12 pick. His big-game experience includes playing in the Rose, Fiesta, Poinsettia, and Buffalo Wild Wing bowls.

Cisi earned a master’s degree in education from the University of Grand Canyon. He and his wife, Amanda, reside in Austin.
