GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Southwestern University football team reported for fall camp on Tuesday afternoon.

The Pirates, 111 players in all, will begin fall practice on Thursday morning. Southwestern will kick off its 46th season of competition at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 5, at Hardin-Simmons. The team's home opener is slated for 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19, against East Texas Baptist.

The Pirates return 52 letter winners and 17 starters from last year's squad. Southwestern also welcomes 48 newcomers to the roster.
