Zac Graham

Zac Graham arrived as the Assistant Men’s Basketball coach at Southwestern in 2015.

in 2019, Coach Graham helped lead the team to its second regular-season Conference Championship since Southwestern joined the SCAC in 1994. The team was awarded five individual all-conference nods, as well as forward Brandon Alexander being tabbed as SCAC Player of the Year, who was also later given a spot on the All-South Region 1st team. The staff was also awarded the SCAC Coach of the Year award. Additionally, the team tied a program record for SCAC regular-season wins with 11.

Over the preceding seasons, Coach Graham has coached 19 All-SCAC players at Southwestern. The team has the second-most wins in SCAC play since Graham joined the staff, and the program has achieved four of the 10winning seasons in SCAC play in program history over the past five years.

Men’s Basketball at Southwestern has achieved above a 3.25 team GPA in every semester since Graham arrived on campus, including a 3.56 GPA during the 2016-17 school year, the sixth-highest reported team GPA in NCAA Men’s Basketball across the nation.

Graham came to Southwestern from St. Edward’s University in South Austin. He spent two years as the graduate assistant coach at St. Edward’s, helping the Hilltoppers to a 22-8 overall record and a #14 NCAA Division 2 national ranking in his final year in Austin.

Prior to his stint on the St. Edward’s coaching staff, Graham played for the Hilltoppers under Head Coach Andre Cook from 2009-13. Graham graduated from St. Edward’s in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in sports broadcast journalism, and again in 2015 with a master of business administration.

Coach Graham grew up in Austin, TX. He attended a dual campus in East Austin, taking classes and graduating from the Liberal Arts & Science Academy while playing basketball for LBJ High School. During his four seasons for the Jaguars, LBJ won four straight district titles. Graham’s high school career culminated with a trip to the 4A UIL State Final four.
