LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – After a sweep of the University of Dallas the Southwestern University baseball team has earned the No. 4 seed in next week's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament in San Antonio.

The Pirates earned the No. 4 seed and will play the first game May 2 at 1 p.m. against host Trinity. Trinity – the No. 3 team in NCAA III – locked up the No. 1 seed with a 16-2 record and stands at 30-7 overall.

Southwestern and Trinity met twice during the regular season as the series in Georgetown did not count in the SCAC standings. The Tigers swept both series from the Pirates.

Texas Lutheran claimed the No. 2 seed and will play No. 3 seed Centenary at 4:30 p.m. Southwestern took 2-of-3 from TLU while the Gents won 2-of-3 from the Pirates during the team's regular season meetings.
