LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced its Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll today for the 2014 fall term and 475 student-athletes made the list including 71 Southwestern student-athleses.
Women's cross country led the way with a whopping 80 percent of their team named in the report. SU had the second highest total of all SCAC schools, being bested by only Trinity who posted 102 earning the honor.
Since its inception in 1997, over 22,500 male and female student-athletes have been recognized for their contributions in the classroom.
To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade-point average of 3.25 for the term and be a regular member of a varsity athletic team in a sport sponsored by the conference.
