Francie Larrieu Smith Video Interview Series

Francie Larrieu Smith is entering her 18th season as the head cross country and track & field coach at Southwestern University. However, her story is bigger than that. Larrieu Smith is a five-time Olympian and was honored as the United States' flag bearer at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona.

This interview series is about Larrieu Smith reflecting on her legendary running career. As a trailblazer for women in running, the Palo Alto, Calif., native saw her competitive career span four decades and she won 21 national titles. She placed fifth overall in 10,000 meters at the 1988 Olympics in Seoul.
