A letter from Dr. Munt

As we approach the end of Southwestern University's fiscal year (June 30th), I am writing to invite all members of the Pirate Athletics family to make a gift to support our student-athletes, coaches, and teams. You can pay it forward in support of today's student-athletes by making a gift to the general Pirate Fund (used to support the general priority needs in the Department of Athletics) or to a sport-specific Pirate Fund (e.g., Pirate Fund - Baseball, Pirate Fund - Volleyball, etc.). These gifts are important in helping us improve our facilities and enhancing the competitive experiences of our current student-athletes. 

Our student-athletes continue to excel in the classroom and on the field/court. I am proud to share that 164 of our student-athletes were named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll. Additionally, we won two conference championships and were among the top teams in almost every sport in the SCAC. We have almost 500 student-athletes, which equates to nearly one-third of the student-body. There is a strong Pirate presence on campus!
