NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Southwestern University women's cross country team councluded the 2017 season on Saturday morning as they competed at the South/Southeast Regional hosted by Christopher Newport University.

SCAC-rival Trinity won the event with 80 points followed by Emory iwth 83 and Centre with 153. Rounding out the top five was Lynchburg in fourth with 171 points and Washington and Lee in fifth with 181 points.

The Pirates were led by freshman Sofia Garcia with a time of 24:01.0 followed by junior Trinh Ha with a time of 26:13.3. 

Junior Morgan Forteith was next at 26:27.4 followed by junior Katie Harris with a time of 27:08.4 and freshamn Kate Killian with a time of 30:12.8.
