Pirate Women Place Third at TLU Invitational

SEGUIN, Texas - The Southwestern University women's cross country team took home a third place finish with 79 points on Saturday morning as they competed at the Texas Lutheran Collegiate Invitational.

St. Edward's placed first with 18 points while Texas Lutheran was second with 48 points. Sul Ross State finished in fourth behind the Pirates with 108 total points.

Freshman Sofia Garcia led the pack with a 10th place finish at 21:39. Junior Trinh Ha placed 14th at 23:30 while fellow junior Katie Harris took home a 16th place finish at 23:39.

Rounding out the scoring for the Pirates was freshman Kate Killian with a time of 24:16 and senior Veronica Pardo with a time of 28:07.

Southwestern will return to action next weekend as they will travel to Windcrest, Texas to compete in the Our Lady of the Lake Invitational at 8:45 AM.
