GEORGETOWN, Texas – Brianna Timourian raced to a runner-up finish at the Southwestern Invitational on Friday evening at Berry Springs Park.
Timourian navigated the 5,000-meter course in 19:22.1, which fueled a third-place finish for the Pirates.
Zainab Oketokoun followed Timourian in 22nd-place, after logging a time of 23:10.4. Morgan Forteith was the third-fastest finisher for the Bucs, as the Richardson native crossed the line in 24th place with a mark of 23:21.8.
Rice captured the team title, while the Owls' Abigail Cartwright was the top individual finisher with a time of 18:59.6.
Southwestern will return to action in two weeks at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships, which will take place in Sherman.
