Panthers Pull Win Over Pirates

ORANGE, Calif. – The Southwestern Pirates women's volleyball took another hard loss to Chapman Panthers Tuesday afternoon.

The Pirates lost to the Panther in three straight sets of 25-17, 25-11, 25-19 victory and move 1-4 on the year. Makenzie Mendez led the team with 12 digs and 23 assists. As well as Brandi Campos once again fought hard defensibly for the Pirates with 15 digs and two assists. Campos is now averaging 5.19 on digs and saves in the beginning games of the season.

On the offense, Jamison Duck had a total of 9 kills as well as Landri Brown, Lauren Crabtree and Alyssa Dooley who had five kills each. As a young team, the Pirates are ending their streak of traveling games  and look to changing the tides back in Pirate territory

The next game will be Saturday, Sept. 8th at 2:00 p.m. against the Huston-Tillotson.
