GEORGETOWN, Texas - The Pirates' offense was held at bay on Friday night as #5 Southwestern dropped their final regular season home match 3-0 to #4 UT Dallas. 

Southwestern got off to a shaky start, dropping the first set 25-17 after falling behind 12-2. The Pirates led the majority of the second set, but UTD closed the set on a 10-1 run to win 25-20.

SU again started strong in the third set but were unable to shut down the Comets as, once again, UTD stormed back to win the set 25-22. 

Prior to the match four seniors were honored for their outstanding contribution to the program. Andie Alford, Sydney Rochelle, Nikki Welch and Kirby Kincannon have led SU to a 111-29 overall record during their tenure thus far. 

Southwestern (27-3) has a quick turnaround as they travel to Richardson, Texas to face #24 Hendrix and UT Tyler on Saturday.
