LEXINGTON, Ky. - After a perfect opening weekend in the SCAC Southwestern University moved up five spots to #18 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Coaches Poll out Tuesday.

Southwestern defeated Trinity 3-1 Friday night, Texas Lutheran 3-0 and Schreiner 3-1 on Saturday to improve to 11-1 on the year. 

The Pirates take on the University of St. Thomas in Houston on Wednesday at 7 pm before returning to SCAC action this weekend in San Antonio.
