LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – After a weekend that saw the Pirates go 3-0 to start conference play, Southwestern senior outside hitter Kaitlyn Foster was named the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week.

Foster led the Pirates with 33 kills in just eight sets with a 4.12 kills per set average. She took 86 attempts and had just six errors for a .314 attack percentage.

Foster also posted 29 digs at 3.62 per set with one assist and three blocks.

Southwestern defeated Trinity 3-1, Texas Lutheran 3-0 and Schreiner 3-1 to open SCAC play. They are currently 11-1 on the season and ranked 23^rd in the nation. The Pirates head to Houston to face the University of St. Thomas on Wednesday at 7 pm before returning to conference play in San Antonio this coming weekend.
