ABILENE, Texas - The Southwestern women's track & field team turned in a sixth-place finish at Friday's War Hawk Classic.
The Pirates were led by their field performances.
Hannah Bruce collected a total of eight points in the hammer and discus throws. Bruce finished fourth in the hammer throw and sixth in the discus.
Kelsey Faykus was fifth in the discus and sixth in the hammer, for a total of seven points.
Jalynn Ashley placed fifth in the long jump with a leap of 5.04m.
Southwestern will continue its spring season at the Trinity Tiger Invitational in San Antonio next Friday.
