LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Seniors Nicole Wilson and Maranda Kahl of Southwestern University women's tennis were named to the SCAC Doubles Team of the Week after a terrific weekend in leading the Pirates.
Playing at No. 3 doubles, Wilson and Kahl picked up the only win of the evening for the Pirates against No. 3 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, winning 8-6 at #3 doubles. The duo were down 1-6 before coming back to pick up the point.
"Nicole and Maranda remained composed coming down from 1-6 to take it 8-6," said Southwestern head coach Billy Porter. "That swing gave us a huge shot of energy going into singles."
