LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Southwestern University sophomore Anna Schneemann was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Schneemann netted a combined 4-0 record in a pair of victories for the 28th-ranked Pirates last week.

The San Angelo native was 2-0 with teammate Mary Cardone at the top doubles position. She also logged a 2-0 mark at No. 3 singles, including providing the clinching point in Southwestern's 5-4 win over Hardin-Simmons on Saturday.

The Pirates (19-1) boast a 19-match winning streak and will travel to San Antonio Friday for a showdown with No. 16 Trinity.
