Women's tennis moves up 13 spots in national rankings

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Southwestern women's tennis team moved up 13 spots to No. 26 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll, which was released Thursday.

The Pirates (12-1) is riding a 12-game win streak. Southwestern dropped its season opener on Feb. 3, but since has won all 12 matches, including six sweeps. The Pirates also knocked off a pair of ranked foes this spring, including then-No. 25 Linfield, 5-4, on March 26.

Southwestern will hit the road this weekend and play East Texas Baptist and LeTourneau on Saturday.
