LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Southwestern University sophomore Taite Drews-Jones was named Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Drews-Jones helped the Pirates to a 2-0 record last week. She won a total of three matches. The Minneapolis native posted a 1-0 record at No. 1 singles and combined to win two tilts with teammate Mary Cardone at the top doubles spot.
Southwestern (2-1) will resume its spring campaign on March 4 against Howard Payne.
