GEORGETOWN, Texas – Maranda Kahl and Nicole Wilson teamed up to capture the ITA Southwest Regional B Draw doubles championship on Sunday at the Marvin D. Henderson Sr. Tennis Center.
The duo defeated Texas-Tyler's Victoria Kniffen and Nancy Perez by the score of 9-7.
Kahl and Wilson received a first-round bye and then won four matches to earn the championship.
Kahl completed her singles action on Sunday as well, dropping a 6-2, 7-6 (3) match to East Texas Baptist's Kelly Cawthon in the B Draw semifinals.
Southwestern will return to action on Friday, Oct. 2, at the Doc Skogman Invitational in Seguin.
