Women's tennis drops match to Colorado College

Under ominous skies the Southwestern women's tennis team was unable to defend their home court, falling 6-3 to Colorado College on Thursday.

Southwestern fell behind early but managed one doubles win as Juile Swets and Marieke Visser outlasted Cahill/Harwood in #2 doubles, winning 9-8(4).

Colorado College was rolling, however, and won the first four singles matches. Maranda Kahl pulled an easy 6-4, 6-0 win over Cahill at #5 singles and Virginia Stofer confidently defeated Gillian Hyde 6-3, 6-1 at #6.

SU falls to 9-6 on the year and return to the road to close regular season play against Texas A&M-Texarkana and Southwestern Christian in Sherman on Saturday.
