GEORGETOWN, Texas - Southwestern women's tennis fell 6-3 to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor on Thursday afternoon to move to 5-4 on the season.

The match started out just as anticipated with doubles matches going back and forth the entire way. UMHB took #1 and #3 doubles as Bigler/Gaines fell 9-7 and Karmptiz/Guevara dropped their match 8-5. DeLeon/Blake (pictured) kept it from becoming a sweep with an 8-6 win in #2 doubles.

Jessica Gaines and Aimee Blake attempted to right the ship and keep SU in the running for the win with #3 and #4 singles wins. Gaines won in a barn-burner over Chaley Shiffler 7-6 (7-5), 6-7, 10-4 while Blake won in a tie-breaker after being down one set to defeat Ashlee Bilbo 2-6, 6-2, 10-6.
