Stofer Named SCAC Women's Tennis Player-of-the-Week

SUWANEE, Ga. - Virginia Stofer, a first-year player from Albuquerque, N.M., has been named SCAC Women's Tennis Player-of-the-Week for matches played through Sunday, March 4.

Playing at No. 5 singles, Stofer went 3-0 as she beat opponents at Huntingdon, Birmingham-Southern, and Millsaps. 

Stofer produced the Pirates' only singles victory against Huntingdon and her wins against Birmingham-Southern and Millsaps were crucial in Southwestern's 5-4 victories.

Southwestern has opened the spring season strong, going 4-2 over their first six matches. They have some much deserved down time over spring break before returning to action on March 21 to face St. Catherine's at home.
