Women's Swimming Falls to University of the Incarnate Word
SAN ANTONIO -- The Southwestern University Pirates women's swimming and diving team lost 169-80 in its head-to-head meet with the University of Incarnate Word. 
 
Rehgan Hartsell was the first Pirate to break into the top three with a second-place finish in the 50-yard breaststroke, finishign with a time of 31.40. Jesse Stovall had a third-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (25.24). 
 
Natalie Hicks (58.68) and Riley Barlage (58.92) placed second and third in the 100-yard freestyle whie Megan Mick swam a 1:04.26 to finish second in the 100-yard backstroke. 
 
Hartsell broke through for the Pirates in the 100-yard backstroke, swimming a time of 1:08.99 to win the event. 
 
Alexys Matcuk finished second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:52.92) and Stovall did the same in the 50-yard butterfly (26.78) while Brielle Adolph finished second in the 400-yard individual medley (5:09.26). 
 
The quartet of Emma Frey, Stovall, Catherine Hiebel, and Hartsell placed second in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:42.78). 
 
The Pirates will return to action at the Trinity University Tiger Invitational from Thursday, Nov. 21 through Saturday, Nov. 23.
