Hartsell Earns Second NCAA B Cut Time on Final Day of Trinity Invite

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - On the final day of the day Trinity Invitational, freshman Rehgan Hartsell earned her second NCAA B cut of the weekend, this time earning it in the 200 breast on Sunday evening at Palo Alto College.

After eaning a B cut in yesterday's 100 breast, Hartsell swam a 2:19.85 to earn first place for the Pirates in the 200 breast and notch her second NCAA B cut of the season. Additionall, the 400 free relay team of Hartsell, sophomore Sam Rao, freshman Kate Russell, and junior Cara Chin took home third place at 3:40.16.

The men's squad of senior Michael Glover, junior Peter Robinson, freshman Dylan Neumann, and freshman Mario Foltz placed fourth in the 400 free relay at 3:13.17.

Freshman Breely Peterson and senior Taylor Adams finished second and third in the 200 fly with Peterson coming in at 2:14.21 followed by Adams at 2:24.94. Freshman Alek Argueta earned a third place finish in the 200 breast with a time of 2:09.77.

Robinson earned a fifth place finish in the 200 back wtih a time of 1:56.14.

Southwestern will take some time off to enjoy the upcoming holiday season. They will return to the pool in 2018 on January 20th as they will head to Trinity University for a dual meet.
