Southwestern in third place after day two of SCAC Championships

LEWISVILLE, Texas – The Southwestern University women's swimming & diving team sits in third place after 12 events at the SCAC Championships.

The Pirates set a school record in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The team of Cara Chin, Erika Dubros, Madison Doty and Sam Rao combined for a time of 1:38.75, which was good for third place in the event.

Rao also finished third in the 200-yard individual medley, as she hit the wall at 2:13.10.

Additionally, Alexandra Morris placed fourth in the 500-yard freestyle with a mark of 5:19.41.

Southwestern has accumulated 246 points, which is 30 behind Colorado College. Trinity leads all teams with 325 points.

Day three will begin at 10:30 a.m. with more preliminaries, while finals start at 6 p.m.
