Albion swims past Southwestern in Tuesday's meet

GEORGETOWN, Texas – The Southwestern women's swimming team resumed its 2016-17 campaign Tuesday, but suffered a 172-105 setback to Albion at Walzel Natatorium.

The Pirates picked up two victories on the day, including the 200-yard freestyle relay.

Megan Mick was the lone individual winner during the meet, as her time of 1:04.44 was the best in the 100-yard backstroke. Madison Doty was runner-up in the event, finishing only 24-hundreths of a second behind Mick.

Brielle Adolph turned in a runner-up finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a mark of 11:22.99. Taylor Adams (2:19.11) also finished second in the 200-yard butterfly and Sam Rao (2:18.84) was runner-up in the 200-yard individual medley.

Southwestern will welcome Trinity to Georgetown January 13-14 in its final home meet of the season.
