Southwestern women's swimming team kicks off Trinity Invite on Friday night

SAN ANTONIO – The Southwestern women's swimming team is off to a blistering start at the Tiger Invitational.

This three-day mid-season meet in San Antonio is an opportunity for the Bucs to familiarize themselves with the multi-day meet and race some great competition. Thus far, the swimmers have risen to the occasion.

Leading off the evening, the women's 200 freestyle relay team of Cara Chin, Erika Dubros, Madison Doty, and Sam Rao swam to a sixth place finish. They finished with a time of 1:41.28.

The only individual event competed this evening was the 500 freestyle. The Pirates' distance swimmers posted some incredible mid-season times in this event.

Alexandra Morris placed 11th with a season best of 5:25.17. Megan Mick finished in 15th place with a personal best time of 5:28.56. Taylor Adams was close behind in 16th place a personal best with a 5:28.79.
