Pirates Drop Series To Trinity On The Road

GEORGETOWN, TEXAS - After coming off a series win versus Centenary, Pirate's Softball (10-21, SCAC 7-5) traveled to San Antonio, TX for their series versus Trinity (22-9, SCAC 10-2). The Pirates played them even through six innings in game one, but two runs by the Tigers in the bottom of the sixth, pushed them passed the Pirates, 3-1. For the doubleheader on Saturday, the Pirates struggled to get runs in, losing game two, 3-6 and game three, 0-1. 

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Sophia Ytuarte faced 50 batters between two games over the weekend going 179-116 for pitches-strikes. She is currently 4th in the SCAC for strikeouts with 39. 
  • Jodi Glenn-Millhouse racked up two more stolen bases, bringing her team-leading total to seven

NEXT UP:

The Pirates are now sitting in 5th place in the SCAC. They travel to play the Crusaders of the University of Dallas for game one on Friday, April 19th, at 6:00 PM CDT for their final series on the road of the 2024 season.
