Lindsey Longuet was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Softball Co-Pitcher of the Week for her performances in last week's doubleheader sweep of Concordia Texas.

The Southwestern University Pirates' senior picked up the win in both games, limiting Concordia to just eight hits and one earned run in 14.0 innings through two games.

Longuet struck out 14 hitters to just four walks in the two wins. In Game 1, Longuet started and pitched a complete game, striking out seven with two walks and three hits in a 3-0 win. In Game 2, she entered the game in relief in the first inning, striking out seven, walking three, and giving up five hits and just one earned run in the Pirates' 14-5 victory.

The reigning SCAC Pitcher of the Year finished the season with an 8-3 record, picking up two saves, and tying the SCAC lead for most wins this season. In 72.2 innings pitched, she had a 1.25 ERA with 79 strikeouts, leading the SCAC in the latter category by more than doubling second-place Ashlyn Strother of Texas Lutheran University, who finished with 38.

Longuet shares this Pitcher of the Week award with Texas Lutheran's Kayla Oliveira, who pitched 12 shutout innings of work last week.

In her four-year career, Longuet compiled a 46-18 record with three saves. In 420.2 innings pitched, she surrendered just 113 earned runs for a 1.88 ERA, striking out 359 to just 144 walks.
