LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Lindsey Longuet, a freshman pitcher from Missouri City, Texas, has been named the SCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for games played from Monday, April 17th through Sunday, April 23rd.

Longuet went 1-1 on the week to help the Pirates take a 3-1 series victory over Trinity in the final weekend of the 2017 regular season.

Longuet hurled complete games in both outings, pitching 14.0 innings while allowing six hits and just one earned run to post 0.50 ERA for the week. She struck out 11 and walked four on the weekend, which included a complete game, three-hit shutout in Sunday's 1-0 victory over the visiting Tigers.  

Southwestern will enter the SCAC Championship this weekend as the #2 seed, facing the winner of Trinity/Centenary at 6 pm on Friday in Seguin.
