Softball splits day one double header against Centenary

SHREVEPORT, La. - Southwestern posted just three runs in the double header but were able to pull out a win in game two 1-0 against Centenary after dropping game one 7-2. 

Southwestern started well, posting two runs in the top of the first, but Centenary eventually tied the game in the third and unloaded five runs during the fourth and fifth innings to take the win 7-2. 

Kaitlyn Copher's sacrifice fly in the fourth brought home Sydney Scott and was the only run of the game. Lindsey Longuet was oustanding on the mound, allowing just three hits for the complete game shutout win. 

SU moves to 16-10 on the year and 9-3 in the SCAC. They close the series with Centenary on Sunday beginning at noon.
