SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Southwestern was outscored by just two runs through two games but dropped both contests 4-3, 3-2 to Trinity Sunday.
HOW IT HAPPENED
GAME 1: SU 3, TU 4
- Trinity scored three runs in the bottom of the third but Southwestern quickly answered with three in the second.
- Trinity pushed one across in the fifth that proved to be the difference maker.
STANDOUTS
- Paige McShan: 2-4
- Berkeley Bacon: 1-3, 1 RBI, 1 run
- Taylor Carnes: 1-3, 2 RBI
GAME 2: SU 2, TU 3
- Trinity again struck first with runs in the first inning to quickly put the Pirates down 2-0.
- Southwestern scored one in the third, but a run in the fifth again gave the Pirates the lead 3-1.
- The Pirates pushed one across in the seventh but they were unable to score the equalizer to drop the game.

UP NEXT
Southwestern drops to 7-9 overall and 0-4 in the SCAC after the weekend. They remain in conference play to host Centenary College for a four game series beginning Saturday at 1pm.
