SEGUIN, Texas - Southwestern's high-powered offense was quieted as Trinity knocked SU out of the SCAC Championship 7-0.

Trinity opened the game with three runs in the first to take a commanding lead early and added one in the fourth and three in the fifth, all while holding SU off the base paths. Southwestern managed just one hit in the contest. 

Nicole Gibbs garnered the loss in 4.1 innings of work. She allowed seven runs, five earned, on nine hits while walking three. Cozette Palmer came in relief to close the game and allowed just one hit in 1.2 innings. 

Linsay Biggers was the lone Pirate to record a hit in the game. 

Southwestern ends the year at 18-20-1 overall.
