LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) announced its Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll today for the 2013 spring term and 462 student-athletes made the list.
Led by Karen Ramirez’s Second Team selection, three Southwestern Pirates were named in the 2013 National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III All-Region Team. Tessa Galloway and Abigail O’Connor were Third Team West All-Region selections.
The Pirate softball team made their second appearance in five years at the NCAA Regional and ended the year after falling to #5 UT Tyler and #13 Claremont Mudd Scripps on Friday.

For the fourth time in five seasons Coach Angela Froboese was named as the SCAC Coach-of-the-Year. Joining her in the major honors was Kelsey Kingston who was named the Newcomer-of-the-Year.
