SUWANEE, Ga. - Amanda Ambrose, a senior shortstop from Lago Vista, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, March 26 through Sunday, April 1. 

Ambrose was sensational all week for the Pirates. She posted a .625 batting average with 10 hits on 16 at bats with two doubles, one triple and an inside the park home run. Additionally, she had a hand in over half of Southwestern's run with 10 RBI's and four runs scored with a slugging percentage of 1.063 and struck out just one.

For the week, Ambrose hit .625 with 10 RBIs, four runs scored, 17 total bases, .706 on base percentage and zero errors.  

The Pirates are currently 17-12 overall and 7-1 in the SCAC. They return to action on Friday to face Schreiner University at home beginning at 1 p.m.
