SUWANEE, Ga. - Haley Hughes, a junior first baseman from Tomball, Texas, has been selected the SCAC Softball Offensive Player-of-the-Week for games played from Monday, February 13 through Sunday, February 19.

Hughes had a monster weekend to kick off the 2012 season for the Pirates. In 12 at bats she recorded eight hits for a .667 batting average with two homeruns, five RBI's and four runs scored. Hughes had an unbelievable 1.167 slugging percentage and .667 on base percentage in the three games.

The Pirates have posted a 3-2 record to start the season. They continue their crawl through the American Southwest Conference with games at Concordia on Friday and UT Tyler on Sunday.
