Georgetown, Texas – Freshman Hallie Rutherford set the offensive tone of Friday's game against the Centenary Ladies when she scored unassisted just three minutes into the game.
She continued to show her offensive skills with an assist to Maya Fuller for the second goal. Three of the Pirates scores came during the first half of the game. Centenary players Itzel Sigaran and Pamela Fonseca took two shots each at Bucs goalie Mary Cardone, but were unable to score. Cardone blocked four shots on goal of the Ladies total of nine shots taken.
Pirate Rome Reyna also scored one goal unassisted, and Hanna Sanderson scored on an assist by Mallory Harkins.
The Pirates next game is Sunday, Sept. 23, at home against Schreiner University.
