Women’s soccer narrowly defeated by #3 Trinity in SCAC Championship final

KERRVILLE, Texas - Southwestern gave it their all on Sunday but were defeated 2-1 by #3 Trinity in the SCAC Championship match.

Heavy rains in the area overnight forced the match to be relocated but the Pirates took all the changes in stride.

Trinity scored their only two goals in the first half and held Southwestern scoreless until Chickie Murphy put home Kiara Morales' ball to pull the Pirates within one.

Southwestern is the only team to score multiple goals against the Tigers this season, something Head Coach Linda Hamilton will undoubtedly be able to build off of for next season.

The Pirates end the season at 11-8 overall.
