KERRVILLE, Texas – Southwestern women's soccer avenged their loss in overtime last week with a 1-0 win over Texas Lutheran in the SCAC Championship semifinals Saturday. The win advances the Pirates to the SCAC Championship match where they will face Trinity on Sunday at 1 pm.
Sarah Bevins scored the only goal of the day in the 17th minute and SU's stout defense took over from there to secure the shutout victory. TLU was held to just 4 shots in the match.
The championship game against Trinity will be a rematch of the 2013 championship, the last time the Pirates made the finals.
