Missed opportunities lead to Pirate loss

GEORGETOWN, Texas – Southwestern out-shot the Mountaineers but couldn't get the one the counted as the Pirates fell 1-0 to Schreiner Tuesday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • A furious pace came with the start of the match as both teams knew the implications that accompanied a win. Southwestern was the most dangerous early but it was Schreiner that took the lead as Kelsey Bessent scored in the 15th minute.
  • SU took a 1-0 deficit into halftime and were never able to put home the equalizer despite multiple opportunities in front of goal.
