GEORGETOWN, Texas – Southwestern had ample opportunities to take the lead but were unable to capitalize, falling 1-0 to Hendrix College Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Hendrix took the lead on a breakaway goal from Samantha Lawless 14 minutes into the game.
• After a lengthy lightening delay with 21:14 to go in the first half the game resumed and SU had two great looks at goal but went into the break down 1-0.
• Southwestern had no shortage of dangerous balls in front of goal but couldn't send one home.
• SU had the break they needed with a free kick just outside the box with 18 seconds remaining, but the shot sailed high and out of harm's way to arrive at the 1-0 final.
