No. 10: Women’s soccer reaches title match, sets school record

The 2013 season for the Southwestern University women's soccer team was a record breaking one under in her sixth season guiding the Pirates.

Checking in at No. 10 on our list of top 10 moments, the Pirate women's soccer team advanced to the SCAC Tournament Championship for the first time in program history. The Pirates also set a new school record for conference wins in a season with 9, besting the previous record of seven.

Receiving honors during the season Lindsay Jakszta was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Scholar all-Region Team along with earning First Team All-SCAC honors. Jakszta also was named to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District Team and was joined by Hayley Miesse on the SCAC All-Tournament Team.

Southwestern finished the season 10-9-1 on the year and set the school record for conference wins going 9-3 in the SCAC.
